Business Incubators in Bismarck / Mandan
The Idea Center
Located at 1841 Hancock Drive in Bismarck, ND, the mission of the IDEA Center is to serve as a supportive community to nurture ideas into reality and generate results. The IDEA Center's goal is to create an environment that allows entrepreneurs and inventors to start businesses and step by step help them grow into a thriving part of the Bismarck community.
Founded in 2007, the IDEA Center is committed to the development of entrepreneurial activity in the Bismarck/Mandan community and the state of North Dakota through utilizing young people to facilitate a business incubator. The concept for such an institution was developed by two individuals, Dewey Teitz and Karel Sovak. Dewey Tietz, a citizen of Bismarck, ND since 1979 well known for founding the company CrossCountry Courier, had a strong desire to provide an outlet for entrepreneurs of all types to gain the support and resources needed to successfully start their own business. Karel Sovak, an associate business professor for the Tharaldson School of Business, desired an environment in which he could submerge his students in real-life, hands-on business. A place where students could take the text book information learned in the classroom and put it into action. Call (701) 250-2198 for more information.
